Darth Maul Estrogen Brigade 2

In my wanderings across the great and vast world we call the internet, I recently stumbled upon a very well done and fascinating website. See, my son loves Star Wars. He's just getting into the Lego Star Wars figures and such so he asked to see pictures of Darth Maul (Lego version) on the internet. I googled Darth Maul Lego to look for images and I found this cool Lego-bust of Darth Maul:

I was interested. I mean, who spends that money time, effort, energy, and Legos to make a life-sized bust of Darth Maul? So, I clicked on the image which took me to...

The Darth Maul Estrogen Brigade 2 at http://www.dmeb2.org/main/index.html. What is the DMEB2? It's an all female fan club especially devoted to Darth Maul. Seriously. This blog has existed for ten years - since 2001! It seems to have fallen off somewhere around 2009 but that's a very impressive track record! KGS could only hope to reach such a benchmark (my money says that we implode sometime around July of this year)!

This is what makes the Star Wars fanbase so great. Take a mediocre villain in a mediocre film and it inspires a decade of rabid fans obsessively detailing every aspect of the character and actor. And, hey, what a great name. You won't soon forget The Darth Maul Estrogen Brigade 2! Heh. Funny.

  1. Dude, I'll just never understand you. A mediocre villain in a mediocre film? As if...

You sir, are now officially demoted from "Movie Spock" to "Movie Red Shirt."

Mediocre? Lert's define that word. According to the dictionary, mediocre is defined as:
    –adjective
    1.
of only ordinary or moderate quality; neither good nor bad; barely adequate.
    2.
    rather poor or inferior.

inferior? adequate? compared to what? According to boxofficemojo, TPM out-grossed all other SW films. In fact it received a "B" grade. A "B" isn't perfection but certainly above average. It's also listed in AFI's top movies of all time.

A mediocre character? Granted, his involvement may not have been very impactful as far as story is concerned, but the fact that he has so engraved himself into Star Wars fandom, hardly makes him mediocre. He is the Bobba Fett of the Prequel films.

So, your own personal prejudices aside...dont disrespect the Maul, or TPM....redshirt.
