Michael Bay has really crossed the line with fans of the TEENAGE MUTANT Ninja Turtles. I put the first two words there because he's dropped them from the upcoming film's title. To some fans, this is sacrilege - to take TMNT and make it "officially" "NT" is unacceptable. To me, I don't care so much. Don't most of them simply call them the "Ninja Turtles" anyway in our daily conversation? They're still teenagers, right? They're still mutants, right?
Well, maybe not so fast on that last one. It appears that Bay also has made plans to add an alien race in the NT backstory. Fans, once again, are dead set against this. Myself personally, I'll take a wait-and-see attitude. If aliens are merely the catalyst for the mutations, so be it. But if the turtles themselves are aliens then you can forget about it - that is an abomination to desolation that should be burned at the stake.
