What's Up With Lone Wolf Multiplayer: Stornlands, Mongoose?

Alright, I'm okay with small delays in product releases, especially if the end product is worth it. But Mongoose is really pushing it with their Stornlands book. I think this product was suppose to be out in August of 2012 and, as far as I know, it hasn't been released yet (I have a standing order in at Comic Store West).

Mongoose announced that the book would be split into two books... poor planning on their part but fine, whatever. I understand that would push it back a little. But to rub salt in the wound, Mongoose solicited the second Stornlands book before the first shipped! Why don't they get the first book out the door before worrying about pushing the second one?

  1. Well maybe this way they can get more exposure and fans eagerly awaiting the release.

Some companies take the ''fun in waiting'' a bit too serious and they don't realise that making fans wait a bit too long can result in the opposite.

I think your blog is mighty good, so I'll start following you! :D

  2. Thank you for your kind remarks. The fun in waiting for me is between solicitation and the anticipated release date. After that, I just get paranoid that I somehow missed the product!

  3. Amen! Palladium Books used to be infamous for this sort of thing (probably still are, but I don't follow their releases anymore). Drives me up the wall, particularly for a product I'm totally slavering over--who doesn't love the Stornlands?

Fantastic cover image for Part II, though. Varetta!
