Goodbye, World Boardgaming Championships

Well, despite my plans to attend the World Boardgaming Championships in nearby Lancaster, PA.... life happened. Specifically, tragic life events. A leaky roof. A broken computer. A $1000 car "inspection." Fleas in the house. You know, the kinda stuff that makes you weep and ask for it all to stop! Stop! Please, please! Enough! Stop!

*ahem* Well, anyway... all of that left me... with no money at all as you might imagine. And the World Boardgaming Championships, although not expensive, DO cost money. Sigh. I'm really hoping to go next year.

So, whoever won the San Juan tournament, just know that it's only because I was unable to attend! You've been warned for next year!

World Boardgaming Championship in Lancaster, PA

So, when I was reading the latest issue of GTM, I came across the ad for the World Boardgaming Championships. I said to myself, "I'd LOVE to attend something like that but it's too far away!" And then I saw it happens in Lancaster, PA - just about an hour away from me! WOW!

Check them out at  http://www.boardgamers.org/.

I am going to have to seriously consider attending for at least a day this year. Anybody ever been to this event? Any information? Let me know!
