Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi

I've got to admit - it's a question I've never spent much time thinking about. Where did the Jedi and the Sith come from? In Star Wars history, there is literally tens of thousands of years of history between these two factions. But certainly there had to be a time before force powers were discovered, right? How did that happen exactly? Well, that's the question the upcoming Dark Horse limited series, Dawn of the Jedi, sets out to answer. And I've go to admit - now that the question's been posed, I'm very anxious to find out the answer!

 

Crimson Empire Returns!

Dark Horse Comics, the long-time home of Star Wars comics, has announced that it will be releasing a new Crimson Empire story, Star Wars: Crimson Empire III: Empire Lost! Here's the official announcement from Dark Horse:

Star Wars: Crimson Empire, the story of the last Imperial Guardsman, returns after over a decade of anticipation!

The reach of the New Republic is expanding, but the days of fighting for the galaxy have not ended. A threat against Princess Leia and Han Solo’s family disrupts usual business on Coruscant—and Luke Skywalker’s Jedi training on Yavin 4!

In another part of the galaxy, a former Imperial Guardsman turned bounty hunter, Kir Kanos, is ready to settle an old score after three years in hiding—if a new adversary doesn’t kill him first! 


Crimson Empire III will be a six issue miniseries that I believe starts next month. Of course, like all Dark Horse Star Wars works, it will eventually be collected in trade paperback.
